2026 Hispanic and Latin-X Medical Physics Trainee Travel Award
The AAPM Hispanic and Latinx Medical Physics Trainee Travel Award was established to support members of the Hispanic and Latinx communities, as well as those who actively engage in outreach and mentorship to these communities, in advancing their professional development within the field of medical physics. One recipient will receive up to $2,000 in reimbursement to support travel, lodging, and registration costs for attendance at either the ASTRO or AAPM Annual Meeting.
Award Criteria:
Applicants must submit the following:
- Completed attestation form confirming active enrollment and clearance to attend the 2026 Joint AAPM | Comp Annual Meeting & Exhibition.
- A personal statement describing their experience with Latino/-x and Hispanic outreach or mentorship.
- A CV outlining their research, educational, or service-based motivation to attend the proposed meeting.
- A letter of support from their program mentor or supervisor.
Eligibility:
- Must be a member of AAPM in good standing at the time of application. Pending membership status is not acceptable. If you are not yet an AAPM member, consider applying now to be eligible for the fellowship (this process can take 2 - 4 weeks to complete).
- Active enrollment in a graduate program in medical physics, certificate program in medical physics, or medical physics residency.
- Prior recipients not eligible.
