2026-2028 Global Research Mentorship Program (GREMP) Fellowships: Global Mentor Application
Presented by the Global Research and Mentorship Committee (GRSIC) of
AAPM's International Council
Is GREMP right for you?
- Do you work in a resource-limited country conducting medical physics research?
- Are you mentoring a graduate-level researcher who is early in their training?
- Are you interested in receiving guidance from an experienced research mentor to help advance your research and mentorship skills and build long-term relationships?
What GREMP offers:
GREMP strives to elevate global medical physics research and mentorship through structured international collaborations. The program connects mentor-mentee pairs affiliated with the AAPM with mentor-mentee pairs working in resource-limited countries. Together, the members of this Mentorship Quad embark on a collaborative research project while developing their scientific and mentorship skills through a global exchange of ideas and experiences.
GREMP Timeline:
Financial Support Includes:
- $3,000 for the global mentor to attend the AAPM Annual Meeting.
- $4,000 for the global mentee to visit their AAPM mentor's institution.
Applications aligning with AAPM’s strategic priorities are especially encouraged, particularly in:
- Strategic Priority 1: Global health research in emerging medical physics fields such as radiopharmaceutical therapies and expanding beyond the usual radiology and radiation oncology.
- Strategic Priority 2: Global health research in computational physics integrating AI/ML/DT technologies
Additional program details can be found here.
